  1. Try harder, all the info you need is available on here.....
  2. proper introductions first and RTFR while you are there will be more likely to get members talking welcome to oss
  3. thought it would be easy enough, solves my problem and for others too, and looks std good result
  4. thats the jockey, use et needle maybe?, not sure what you mean "slit" was it easy, or a load of hassle??
  5. i can tell you from experience if the emulsion tubes are worn it causes rich and shitty running
  6. i didn't think of that
  7. sorry, i should have been more specific, et uk model, early 80's, the one before the efe, although there was i think a ex model of the same period but i don't know of the differences between that and the et??
  8. thats my line of thinking, but using the standard et face with the innards removed and something else electronic in the place of the mechanicals
  9. no, that model doesn't cut the mustard not with me anyway, just my opinion but that model is gopping
  10. that would be very useful info, as if i end up with a 750 i would want to upgrade but do i oil boil, or air cool,???????
  11. Hi and welcome, we like lots of pics i think the only thing you could do is alter spacing on the wheel if you can, you could of course cut down the pivot tube and space it there, but you shouldn't have to bit of a shitter that one, i would be back on the phone to them i think
  12. front end/ back end differences are irrelevant because they will be changed for something modern, its the physical size between the two that is more important in terms of fitting of parts, i know what will fit the 1100, and if the 750 is the same size then using one wont present any unforeseen problems, interesting topic though for ideas/inspiration
  13. 1/8th bsp if i remember right
  14. yes but i was thinking of using the et face with efe head or similar behind it, maybe.....
  15. maybe efe internals in the et housing, not measured or anything just thinking out-loud but i think the "heads" are a similar size???
  16. just been out for a bit of a blast, while its hot and dark, i am amazed how many dicks in cars there are wanting to race? or whatever it is they think they are doing??, happy to report running well, cleaned up no end running wise, although 3 figures and above and it is vibrating something alarming through the bars and pegs enough to give white finger or foot, faster you go the worse it gets, but given that i don't spend much time in that territory maybe doesn't matter, i am hoping the efe is smoother once on the road. One other thing, there are some bugs about tonight, some of them fkin jurassic Mr Wraith is right about the headlights, wank with a capital W.
  17. it does leave me with a problem though, with the revcounter, et's are cable driven, and efe, oilboilers electronic, i want to keep the original look of the bike but i want the gauges to work!, this only counts of course if it gets an engine upgrade
  18. got the new dj emusion tubes today, got them fitted and with a bit of messing with the mixture screws for a smooth idle its cured i think, just been out and i think its sorted, although i think its still a bit rich but easy to set off steady, and pulls clean right to the redline result
  19. yes i know, does not matter really i like the standard clocks on either
  20. right on brother, i am exactly the same, none of this head down arse up for me
  21. i am thinking the 1100L i have just bought will make a good donor bike or would it be wrong to break it up?, i have never had a soft spot for them not like the efe or et's, it would give me just about everything i need i think for a special, the efe i have is staying so an et it is i think, but i am not sure its the right way to go?????????
