There's loads of pics on FaceAche he built a 5 cylinder busa before the 6
His you tube channel is https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxO1aZ2wJdnIgGI9ohBm3Cw

Are all the springs the same length ?

Thank you so do you think I could just buy a stock oil pressure switch?
yes must be loads on Eblag your side of the pond
or a dealer

How much effect does the offset have on rear wheel and chain run

Its an Air Cooled Engine
other pipes "it's most likely an aftermarket fitting" are for an oil cooler unless US models had one as standard

A lot of tuned Jap cars use them and they get good reports on a few faceache groups....common comments are use ARP bolts

Unlike other Suzuki Steel Frames the Zuma frame is quite generous at the pivot being 240mm "ish"
So one of the easier frames to fit another arm in ...
That Said i quite Like the Stock Arm

There's an interesting Bakker GS1000 project on eb@y at the moment but it's a bit spendy.

Here ya go, idk if I can post links on here but you can take a read https://www.banditforum.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=73284.0
ps. problem is there’s some people who post everything they did in detail and some people throw a couple pics up and loosely describe things. Some people just say that works or that doesn’t but don’t say why, then shyt people who just want info to make better decisions.
So the amount of conflicting info is unbelievable
At the end of the day a build is supposed to be fun and a forum is supposed to be about community.
That’s why I ask around, DM, talk to my machinist ( he’s a busa builder ) and try to piece info together
Whatever hurdles pop up I’m sure someone out there will help
So that explains some things and and opens up loads more ....
The post you are quoting is talking about a stock blandit 12 head "28cc chamber" and stock 79mm B12 pistons all good so far
its goes on to quote skimming the cylinder head by "1.5mm " to increase the compression which also reduces the chamber size to 22.1cc "all good"
It then goes on to suggest the extra incresces possible using a 1216 kit 81mm "all good still
However you are saying in your thread questions ...using busa pistons to go 1216 "not the same as a 1216 kit piston"
You say you have decked the block by 1.2mm which puts the busa pistons out the bore "or Do you mean Skimmed the head" ?
You also say using a Dot Head "23cc chamber" or do you mean a 28cc chamber head that has been skimmed ?
As Skimming a blandit 28cc chamber head does not make it a "Dot Head" and skimming a Dot head that much opens a whole new can of worms with valve to piston clearance
Confused Dot Com
I think you need to clarify what you are actually intending on using to clear up the conflicting info between the posts
--------------
Just to throw another in the mix
I have another busa pistoned 1216 engine 8.41: 1 Cr that has a ported "1100 M Shim Head" that made 129BHP with a badly set up set of RS38s on it

I read busa slugs drop comp to 8:1/8.5:1, dot head is 1.5 comp increase and 1.2mm deck was around 1.5-2 points up
based on that I was estimating 11.5-12 : 1
As measured in a real build not a guess or hearsay Busa Slugs in a Stock Block on a Stock Crank and Rod are 8.41 : 1
A Dot Head will give a 1.1 increase in Comp at Best "real build fact not a guess"
A 1.2mm deck of a stock 1127 or 1157 block will leave the crown of the busa piston 1.2mm out the block "Interesting to see how you deal with that"
Please feel free to post pics and dyno sheets of the magic build you read about on the Blandit Forum ....

Think so! I thought the whole reason for using Bus pistons on stock 1100 rods was that they dropped down the hole to drop comp for forced induction use ! ! !
They got nothing going for them otherwise, apart from being an OEM forging LOL!
42 minutes ago, clivegto said:Yes there about 2mm down the bore on a 1127 and the 1157 standard block.
I,ll just leave these here then....
Stock Crank , Stock GSXR Rods, Stock 1157 Block, Gen 1 Busa Pistons.. ..

You say you have had the blocked decked by 1.5mm ?
So given a busa piston on a stock gsxr rod is flush with the top "deck" on a stock block .then surely the crown of the piston will be out of the bore or have I missed something ?

Will do. The machinist takes weeks for anything and my impatience got the best of me! I figured I’ll adjust with a thicker gasket if need be.
The chambers in the head at 22cc, and piston dish is 8cc.
I will double check the piston/valve clearances and hand turn the engine over to make sure.
I read through a build here of a guy keeping everything stock and just decked the block 1.5mm to see compression changes and he had said there was a bit left even after shaving that amount off.
Anyway, here’s what I got for comp calculations
on that calculator dome volume should be a positive no for busa pistons
What rods are you using ?

Sound's like it's the same guy that cropped up on an American Van Group on Faceache "he had a couple chevy vans on polish plates for sale"
then rapidly disappeared when someone posted Con Artist on his posts ..
I did a reverse image search on the Faired EFE pics and he has a lot of bikes with similar background grass and caravans on a couple of Irish bike pages ..

Duckndive, it's never been registered in the ROI although it's apparently an easy process so I'm told by the vendor, makes me wonder as to why he never did it.
That says it all for me

Was it imported into Ireland "still in EU Or Northern Ireland "not in eu"
As the required paperwork & fee,s to reg in UK will be different
Headlight chuck a blandit light on and a cheep MPH speedo to get over that hurdle initially
