Outfits (at least racing ones) absolutely kill their engines so maybe go reliability and cost-effective replacement/rebuilds over outright power. I agree with Daz on the powerscreen lump as suitable.

The Motor of choice used to be the water boiler engine until they changed the rules

But unless you are buying a known engine with provenance these days every thing GSXR 1100 is well over 20 years old or more

The question's your bloody fault anyway! xD Being tempted by an offer of a complete blow through set up, which made me start thinking about it for the engine going into the EL frame. Then it made me think about that nicely sorted EF @Duckndivehas for sale.

Now I'm thinking I should just go and have a time out to think about my behaviour. :/xD

The only thing I would say is beware of "unknown" blow thru set-up's there is usually a reason they are for sale cheap :/ and  fixing issues can work out expensive  :o

Only thing I needed to do with clutch swap is add a 6mm ball bearing over the push rod - couldn't be arsed to make a new one as it just worked!

Yeap used the 6mm ball bearing trick many times :tu

What're the options for an over bore on a 1075 with 18mm gudgeon pins beyond the 'normal' 1168? Preferably low compression for the draw through and if I can avoid getting the meat of the block too thin that'd be good. I've had a search and I can't find anything definitive on it but it appears that I can go to 1230?

I have some barrels sitting and I'm thinking that while I'm at this stage it might be a good time to increase the capacity. Getting one of the custom barrels seems like overkill for what is essentially a road bike.

Max in a 1075 block is 3mm over which is 1166 cc  anything bigger needs sleeves

You could use a 1135 "EF" block to go 1230cc.....but would need to open up the cases for the larger sleeves the 1135 block has

MTC do turbo pistons in both sizes :tu

Is the sprocket carrier on these wheels very narrow, like the k model wheels, making it difficult to get the offset?

yes they are narrow compared to slingshot and blandit stuff ..

i used one from a thou "as i had it" which needed a little machining to get it spot on ..

you do have to be carful with the modern stuff when buying bits as suzuki san used both 6 bolt and 5 bolt Cush drives so research is key to get matching bits  "breakers are lazy and just say there all the same mate"

when i bought the thou wheels they were complete units which made life easier

Obtaining fancy 5.5 inch wheels now is pretty difficult unless you buy a new one for mega-bucks :(

dept on what you deam fancy :/

GSXR 600 from 2014 shares the same skinny 3 spoke wheel style from the 750, & 1000 but has a 5.5 rear and they are very light :tu

Stock 1100m head on an otherwise stock bandit 1200 engine? Bandit carbs or GSXR carbs? My guess would be maybe 120 - 130 HP with a good exhaust and good jetting.

I have a  1216 busa piston motor with a 8.4 / 1 CR  topped with a mildly worked 1100m head and with way off RS38s. it made 129 BHP..

  8. In the early days of Turbo F1 cars "20 odd years ago" and the mad Group A rally cars back then they used a similar thing to keep the snail spinning with some success  "some of the rally teams had it down to a fine art"

but they were all out racing applications so be interesting to see how it goes

I'd stick some support onto that 'T' piece. With the weight of it + the AN fittings, and the hose lengths that'll whip about like an expensive escort at a politician's birthday party. If/when it either cracks, loosens or pulls the connections there'll be oil everywhere.

Personally i would have the TEE at one end or the other "less fittings needed"

Was that on busa rods too or just a low CR 1216 engine with headwork?

Just Busa pistons on GSXR rods ,,the head has some nice work done to it

I'm not sure on cams "i think there stock" but I forgot to check when I had the cam cover off a couple years ago :S
