I am interested in this because I have spare EFE gear indicator salvaged from some wrecked clocks (34 years ago ) that could go onto an oilcooled bike (26mm switch for gear indicator needed???).
Not all oil cooled use a 26mm switch ....
early slingshots and blandits use a 36mm switch as we used an EFE one for a Nos trigger
and to confuse even more a lot of the modern water boiled sports bikes use 26mm switches for gear position

Do both 26mm types fit all engines with a 26mm switch recess and likewise do both 36mm types fit all engines with a 36mm recess?
Yes the switch,s fit the hole...
But for it to work correctly the hole in gearbox shaft needs to be in the same position as the donor bike..

Looking on the Alpha site, the 750 has the same one as the GS range and the 1100et is a different part number to the ef/efe 1100
1100ET only has a neutral light , EF/EFE has neutral light and gear position indicator
if you have an 1100ET with a gear indicator in the clocks it most likely has had 750ET clocks fitted at some point "they used to be very cheap 2nd hand"
1100ET clocks have a bike symbol check panel where as 750 ones have the gear indicator and there are small wiring differences

I did, and it had the gear indicator, that's why I assumed an 1100 ET did also! Obvs not it seems!
Some 1100,s did .....and off course the 1135 EFE did ....

there's almost every part book on Alpha Sports
https://alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm
Just remember that in the USA both european 2V GS & 4V GSX air cooled models are called GS in the USA

Do you know it the gsx750 have a 36mm gear position one ?
never owned air cooled 750 .... so cant say TBH
-
Nope there all 36mm on 4V 1100 ...26mm is only on 2 V engines
If you want gear position best to go for an EFE one find the part no on fowlers the search Eblag or Google with it

It must be connected in some way to actuate it

All air cooled 4V GSX 1100 use a 36mm one Part No 37720-09300-000 is neutral only switch as pic
if you want gear position then its a Gsx 1100 EFE one still same size different part no
you can cross ref the part no,s on Fowlers website "not mobile friendly" as a few oil boilers use the same neutral switch "it is listed as discontinued though"
I,ll have a dig but the 25mm "ish" is used on one or more 8V GS models

you can then cross-ref the part no on various other sites Fowlers for example

Tony Davvige "used to be member on old site" Did it on his Nitrous Bike
Stud spacings are different between 8V and 16V doable "lots of welding and drilling on head"
maybe a bit OTT for a road bike ...
Sell the motors and fit an Oil Boiler motor

they were fine only used 6 months as moved the blandit on

i had a pair of similar wave discs on a B12 that looked very similar to there other items
most are made from material similar to "Hardox 400" they were fine no issues ..
these were they but cheaper back in 2020

My Brain hurts !
Ok found some slugs to show differences both pistons on same 20mm Pin for comparison "both are stock used from there relevant engines"
Air Cooled EF on Left Oil Cooled 1100 K, L or Right
Oil Boiler "Raised Crown" is 0.75mm "ish" Lower than the air cooled flat top
Oil Cooled Piston Deck is 2mm Lower than EF Deck...........
However Best to Do your own measurements and sums....

I don't see it on "Eblag" or Fowlers. I've had the CDI for years, and now trying to do something with it.
My point was its plug and play into the stock loom ...so a wiring diagram for said bike has the answers I would have thought
Fowlers list it as fitting
Suzuki, GSX-R750W N-S (92-95), 1992-1995 (WN-WS), All Colours SIGNAL GENERATOR -
Eblag item number:362896829788......according to Fowlers
This listing is for a brand new, replacement Suzuki Igniter Assy for your Suzuki motorcycle, shipped directly from the Suzuki warehouse. Delivery and handling times may vary depending on the manufacturer.
This genuine Igniter Assy is suitable for Suzuki GSX-R750W 1995

the pressure at the gate is not necessary actual boost pressure ...
hence you need a reference PSI signal from the plenum ..
and be very wary off a EG a 6 psi spring being a 6 psi spring ...its best to actual check the spring does lift at the stated PSI..
your gate may well be opening under boost "but the PSI" thats making it open may well be a lot higher than the spring,s rating....
