Anyone know the CR off the top of their head? Thinking of a cheap way to an N/A 1216 using bits I’ve already got

I did real world sums on the 1216 "busa pistons" one I built using a 1100 Head "28cc"

    5a89866ba9508_CompressionCalculator_1.jpg.784cfc86e5ce953b70a6d9b491f8b8d3.thumb.jpg.cc40fa4914d53607a7e72bb2d519c109.jpg5a89867ba1754_CompressionCalculator_2.jpg.39d3466ad6888ddd5499b76eaaae6f8d.thumb.jpg.f2ea8b6d24e9183e493616a0bcb529d0.jpg

So if you substitute the 28cc "1100" chamber and use 23cc dot chamber  into a calculator

    e.g. here  https://www.summitracing.com/newsandevents/calcsandtools/compression-calculator

    You get 9.55:1...............

  2. Vehicle Manufacturers Cheat on assembly lines 9_9

Filling and bleeding the entire system via the master cylinder in less than a minute in most cases using a very trick Vacuum / Nitrogen / Brake Fluid ,PLC Controlled System

I've seen one in operation no mess very impressive

Obviously us mere mortals don't have that luxury :v

I think my shim head GSXR uses the same camchain (plain chain not hyvo) as the dot head so i can use the dot head cam wheels but i will do cam dialing for sure .

you need to use the 1100 cam sprockets    not the 750 ones

Edit: and if you use the cams from the 750 you'll need to swap the cam wheels to bandit ones to suit your cam chain

if you use the Dot head on any 11?? oil boiler

you need to use the correct  11?? cam sprockets as the 750 has a different crank  / cam tooth count  ...

it's also worth dialling them in to get it spot on as valve piston interface can be close on some set up's

Dry Build and sums are essential IMO  :tu

The BST40 on the RK had quick release top caps, just a useless piece of information from an obsessive, anorak wearing, rivet counting RK lover.

Anyone got any info on setting up the cam timing on a Dot Head 750 lump please?

Not sure on the pin count but the marks are same as other oil boilers ...pic is 1100

Is the 1100efe starter motor the same as the other gsx's? I know the gears are different but can't remember if the motor is cheers

Simple answer is no as the rotor shafts have different no teeth ...

But as long as you use the intermediate gear that matches the starter you can use either a GSX or EFE one on either engine ….

The ratio was changed on the EFE to help with the extra CC,s.....

Was / Is a popular upgrade to fit the EFE motor and intermediate gear on tweaked earlier engines ...

    G'Day,

I'm looking at a set of TMR MJN 39mm carbs with a side pull configuration. They're stated as being off an 1100 with the correct spacing.

As they are going on a 7/12 I'd like to convert them to centre pull.

Do any of you know if this is a relatively easy job or is it difficult?

I'm not finding a lot of information out therre for them.

    Try

Its such good fit I really would not weld it, its gonna ping all over the shop, the boss really good alloy, the cover horrible stock soft cast rubbish.

I go for a specific bonding product thats capable with standing oil and say 150 oC or something.

I'm sure loctite must do something, there is real large area inside, you would be able to apply plenty and external see nothing.

i checked again its 235 from the top face of the bottom yoke to the end of the yoke stem. not 225mm mybad

stem has a keyway or whatever its called for a steering lock, rhs approx 130mm up stem, from top face of btm yoke

top of yoke stem has an internal female thread, approx m12

it has 8mm of shim below the bottom bearing, so effective length of yoke is 227 ish.

yes btm bearing ID is definitely 28mm

Well The Yoke is identical to a  750 one but the stem is defiantly odd ball

i was wondering if its maybe bandit fitment for usd forks, maybe?

Most Suzuki Stems are in the 225mm region

Blandit is nearer to 245mm long

are you sure the btm bearing is 28mm ?

as the 750 uses a 25mm top and a 30mm btm bearing but the stem is wasted between the two bearings
