  1. Now we know how Nicky spends his time
  2. I think that looks good. Easier than modifying the frame.
  3. it definitely sold.the one that had all the bandit gear on it
  4. I agree, but it is difficult to value spondons with history. I think he has a very limited market as it is not really a road bike and all of us potential buyers that remember the bike are getting older lol. I would love to own that bike but not at that price
  5. the ali framed one is back on Eblag at the moment. The steel framed one sold a while back. Same frame as mine
  6. that's for the aluminium framed one? not the steel frame above?
  7. Looking for advice on what turbo unit I need for the B12 motor that is going in my efe framed project. I believe a TD04 unit is the right one, but are there different variants? and is it the right one. Are there other options? Was thinking of buying a used car one to keep price down. I don't have much knowledge on blow through turbos but am keen to learn, so any advice would help
  8. cheers guys. Actually getting out on her, so getting proper use rather than for show :-) Going to leave the next few jobs till the winter so I can stay on the road a bit longer. Also just about to start and efe oil boiler build for my 50th so going to be busy elsewhere
  9. Ash, he has done the tank and seat unit. Same painter as Chris's bike. Just got the wheels and mudguard to sort, but want to put it back to single seat which is where the headache is. Thinking of Fibre glassing the missing part of the hump on and then he could blow in new paint
  10. tits for slippers by now :-)
  11. finally got the old girl finished and back on the road just in time for the Donnington Classic bike show. Was on the Spondon Owners Club stand and got the chance to parade the circuit along with all the other Old Skool bikes and the Spondon owners. Spent most of the winter rebuilding and fixing issues. engine out and retorqued the head as had done 500 miles since I rebuilt the engine. All goodridge lines remade with new fittings and hose as I was having some leakage issues and the original anodising had faded. Mr Dunlop rebullt the rajay which had a damaged impellar thanks to a bolt wanting a closer look. Was hard work getting the right anodised fittings as people have moved on from red / blue anodised, but I like the old skool look. Had the damaged paintwork repaired following a petrol leak. Was close to stripping and doing a new paint scheme, but I really like this paintob even if it is dated. Just a coupe of jobs left to do now and she will be completely finished. Now MOT'd and taxed so funtime !! These pics from the show but not very good
  12. if you get any more bargain Harris projects let me know lol
  13. blimey, you must have been on a fast ride Ash judging by that tyre
  14. on the plus side at least you got out . Looks great.
  15. or they have been in your shed of blackness at some point haha
  16. I will ask him. Specials all had different seats anyway, so its whatever you think looks good.
  17. don't think the seat is Harris. It looks too angular at the back on the Pepsi bike. I remember Burnsie building the mission improbable and then it ended up with coca cola paintwork before it got sold on, but can't remember a pepsi paint job. Oh, and I still thin you are a jammy git lol.......If anyone hears of another spondon in the shed - let me know
  18. If I go this route I will do. Could be a while..................
  19. if you do decide to change your exhaust, I am breaking my WP and have a Remus stainless system with titanium end can 4-2-1. Looking for around £250, but not really sure on value
  20. Had a look at your post about the engine. I'm not that knowledgable on the motors. I am a bit like you, aircooled mainly. Can maybe answer spondon questions
  21. That looks genuine spondon to me you jammy git! Been wanting one of those for years. A friend of mine sold a complete running one of those with full fairing for £2k a couple of years back but i didn't have the cash. If you ever do sell, please, please, please let me know in the meantime if I can help with any questions, i will do
  22. Thanks Jaydee. Just had a read and was some good info. I assume B12 motors are similar to 1100 oil boilers? as that thread is on GSXR motors? I get the impression from what I have read that the W frames may have a bit more room than slingshot frames? so should make it easier to get a B12 motor in.
