Don't force it, get a bigger hammer

I believe that basically the outside of the engines are the same the 11 & 12 is about 20mm taller. So apart from the rear engine mount having a larger bolt you use the 750 brackets

I've been busy with the front engine mounts, now I'm happy with them I dropped the engine out in order to cut the right upper mount off. Once off I intended to move it forward and reuse it but the hole line is too close to the frame so a chat with Yantosh (cheers ) has steered me in the right direction tonight I made up part of the new mount, now I just gotta work out the best way to notch the frame

Took measurement with wheel off the ground then back on the ground the difference was 14mm. Then sat on the bike & took another measurement & the difference was 16mm

Have a look in trick frames jbc

It would seem that my rear shock is too stiff I'm only getting 14mm of movement when I sit on the bike . Not sure if it's the setup or the wrong shock or I need to change the spring

750 WP with VFR 750 single side arm
Blue replied to Ade's topic in Water Cooled, V-Twins, Singles and 2-strokes
Coming along I do like a sssa, my JBC came with a narrowed triumph arm, it had adjustable dog bones in the style of end bearings. I replaced them with a wn style which I've had powder coated. I've now come across these adjustable top mounts that are offset a little which would've helped move the shock over a little as it's close to the left but hopefully it'll be OK. My shock from 93ish seems to be too stiff -
Is there any way I can find out what the spring rate is on a 93 750 rear shock? Just found this 1993 GSXR750 ____mm 6.3kg/mm (____" 350lb/in) 1994-95 GSXR750 ____mm 6.2kg/mm (____" 345lb/in) sound right?

The R125 seat i bought for this is a nice seat & I like the way that it's held in place by simply putting a bolt through the seat but it don't butt up to the tank very well. After spending ages online looking at different seats & what might fit as I don't have a breakers nearby. Taking the bike or tank there to try one wouldbe a pain so I took a gamble & offered £12 for one that I thought might do the job. A lexmoto viper seat arrived today which I'm well pleased with

Been busy sorting the engine out making up mounts & 1 needs moving. Played around making cardboard templates even 3D ones deciding on which way to go with the front side mounts. Chain run looks good but might need to go 520.Bought a matching front wheel but need to change the discs.
