Yea lots of parts from different bikes, gsx14 swingarm, k5 1000 front end, 5 sud thug yokes, xjr Ohlins, bandit bellypan, AP racing clutch master, Brembo calipers and master, Z900 RS front guard, busa back wheel and probably half a hundred other bits.
  3. GREAT DETECTIVE WORK!!!!! It got it unstuck and compression tested, its got 180psi. Probably not worth keeping if that's the case. Might make a good shifter cart motor and toss everything else. It does feel Chinese in its construction and one VIN lookup came up with only two points, 2004 and china. Does anyone know what the small parts are between the caliper and banjo? seems like a portioning valve

Thanks for that, never noticed as they bled up OK even with the nipples at the bottom.

  7. I honesty thought it was just for choke, until I looked on great Google... I then decided it was just terminology & what people called it. Then looking at drz400 stuff that use one of these carbs - there's shitloads of stuff about it being mid range jet.
  8. I know it says Suzuki but so much on that bike looks just like a 500/600 Cagiva River. Remember Cagiva used Suzuki engines in a few of their bikes. I don’t know if yours is a factory 250 version by either company or if someone has swapped out the motor? Edit to add…..
  9. I'm new to the forum, but a long time jap motorcycle tinker. I was just gifted this bike bound for the junk yard ( I will post pics soon) It has: -an air cooled 250cc single with twin exhaust -Looks like it is from late 1990's to early 2000s -Owner passed away but says he had it shipped from japan to CA and could never get it titled -Aluminum frame -17" rear and front wheels -Dual disc single piston front brakes with weird canisters between the banjo and the caliper -Inverted forks -18 miles on the odometer -Back decals look to be under the clear coat and read "SRB250" Engine code 172FMM +80225547+ Vin code +LSNMLJ70240700061+

  11. The front guide can be done after removing the cams. I can guarantee you that it makes contact with the chain 100% of the time, and makes a difference cam timing wise if its there versus not.
  12. I got a cheap blind bearing puller from Mr Bezos, and after letting it properly age in the freezer for a couple of days, it came right out. Now I’m just waiting on the rebuild kit.
  13. Its just a test to see If the volym is right
  14. I turned the engine off the day before doing this clip. After this clip I turned the engine over by hand to do the tappets. I checked the chain and it was tight.
  15. Indeed that doesn't look safe at all
  16. Can't imagine that bottom fitting is going to have a long life ! ! ! Or the tank come to thing of it!
  17. I couldn't get a tensioner spring so popped some washers on the shaft behind the spring a couple of weeks ago. I didn't want to try pushing it. I can't remember what the measurements were but I will re measure it with washers. I was going to try pushing the tensioner in one click but I don't fancy doing it
  18. You could try removing and resetting it.....
  19. Got the standered auto tensioner. I did check the tension on the chain and it was slack. But after turning the engine over to do the tappets the chain was tight.
  20. The Rear Blade on the tensioner wears more than the others and you need to remove head and block to replace it If you have a manual tensioner fitted it may be too tight accelerating the wear
  21. Made a new one, almost double cm3. I want it easy assembly/disassemble thats why the AN fitting to turbo.
  22. Hi all. I have a horrible feeling I need to change my camchain guides. Is it possible to do it with out having to split the cylinder head and barrels. Last time I had to replace the head gasket was a total nightmare due to having wrong o'rings ( it turned out to be an issue with the gasket sets. Yes plural ). Ive took a pic of my chain. It looks like it's rubbing on something I know I've got to drop the crank out to do the adjuster guide. Thanks in advance
  23. This is one I got of Tomasz Piotrowicz the Polish guy that does the turbo stuff on FB it's only 40x40mm.
  24. My local show, I'll be there with a few others if anyone else is interested in bringing their bike along? Its a great wee show. Indoors, so the weather is guaranteed
  25. @peter1127oh that looks very nice
  26. I have a aTD05-16G without restrictor, and the it drainsinto the top of the catch tank. In your case it enters at the bottom with a bend which has some restriction. Tbh it looks like it should work but still it has a little bit more resistance then draining completely free. Also I dont see a breather?
