Not sure on actual max. bore size, but the limiting factor is the space between sleeves and acceptable min. wall thickness of these sleeves. As far as boring and so weakening of the crankcases goes, the use of a solid "big block" is intended to provide additional support for the crankshaft where the bored crankcases are less able to do so. 1 Quote Link to comment
Gixer1460
As 1500/1570 is a fairly normal size @ 87mm and someone used to have an 1800cc GSX @ over 90mm bore - its safe to say BIG! 1 Quote Link to comment

suzukiray
Anything bigger than 1500 you need to use 1150 cases, bigger than 1463 really, as they have more material in the stud areas. Even then, you will need to epoxy the areas that break thru to clear for sleeves that big, especially behind the ignition plate. Ray. 2 Quote Link to comment

What cc you looking for realistically ? Quote Link to comment

kiwi
1166cc straight bore in stock liners or common upgrade 1260cc with liners, and you can fit bigger liners but barrels get thin in middle but easily doable and for street use, or if wanting/needing to do cheap you can fit bandit 12 liners bored out and fit busa pistons (available in 18mm + 20mm pin sizes, but leads to more workneeded to get compression right. 3 Quote Link to comment
