CockneyRick
The oil strainer fouls the side of sump, so which one's wrong? GSX1100F engine, strainer came with engine & sump was bought cos the one with it was a GSXR750M one? Quote Link to comment
CockneyRick
Could be that the strainer was changed too with other sump? Quote Link to comment

CockneyRick
Yea found the right one on Alpha sports, tis offset toward centre of engine, not to one side like this is. Quote Link to comment
Gixer1460
Blandit ones dead easy to spot - I would suppose that the deep vee sump offset to one side would be GSXR 750 to suit stock 4-1 the central Vee would be more suited to 4-2-1 systems like on 1100F's and GSXR 1100's - not scientific but sounds logical. CockneyRick
Previous owner swapped the sum & strainer. I changed sump cos it weren't original, but didn't notice that strainer had to be changed too! Got another original & now all's good Quote Link to comment
