Push / Pull throttle for Kat - with swiych gear

Want to replace a motion pro push / pull throttle with one that has switch gear.

What is the best option? Bandit or GSXR?

Hoping someone will have done this and be able to offer some advice.

The RF900 is push pull with integrated switch gear. I have spare here too.

I used '79 a GS1000 (round slide carbs!) throttle on my Kat to be able to hookup a set of RS's.  No main lighting switch though which suited my purpose (new loom), just a kill switch and starter button.

You can do this and use a l/h switch that includes a lights on/off.

The RF900  right hand switch gear has on/off, push start,  lights toggle switch and twin cable push pull throttle.

I used Bandit switchgear and cables with the RS36s on my Kat. Chopped the Plugs off the loom and the Switchgear and converted to molex connectors.

I used a Kat 1000 switch unit, has push/pull, lights and kill and also looks as if it should be there. Also had the advantage of plugging straight into loom with no mods.

On my Kat I used SV650 switch gear and a seperate Mikuni push pull throttle there is room on the clipon.

They're rare as fuck, and NLA from suzuki I believe.

Apparently there's a R1 switch block that looks very similar to the Bandit/SV etc switch gear, but is narrower as it doesn't have the throttle gubbins in it.

Gsxr600k1 onwards or 750 & 1000 can be used. Basically the first injected models. Can be quite cheap & plentiful.

which throttle cables did You use? any standard ones? from GSX-R? I'm planning to do the same conversion (as I have the mikuni BSR36 to try on with Katana), just considering if the length will be sufficient from GSXR.

I used the mikuni push pull throttle and cables. Comes as a kit for abou £50 they fitted. Venhill do make your own twin cable kits for about £27

Ok here is a option, just a thought before I buy these. The current Motion pro unit has a quick turn throttle. Will using the Bandit throttle make much difference?

Also this has not head light off switch, standard switch gear does allow for the headlight to be turned off. Law has changed so its it law to have head light on so I can rewire.

Bandit throttle will take a R6 throttle tube - makes it 1/4 turn or 1/5 turn or something
