can they run out ? i worry we might be bureaucratised off the road (ref the london t tax; no vehicles older than 2007 ie euro3 regs, coming soon) but i dont think we can run out of ....nuts and bolts

I wouldn't worry too much. Plenty of oil cooled motors around for the time being. By the time they dry up we'll all be to old to ride and under 20 feet of water from the ice caps melting. Besides, oil cooled is for our generation. Let the next generation play with those plastic 1 litre water boilers thingy's. (that's if they last the test of time)

too big a market to dry up, as the original bits disappear the aftermarket will take over and with this the benefits of new idea's  - who would have thought back in the late 80's that you could build reliable  180hp CB900 engines that rev safely to 12K  in 2017 ?- someone will be selling a retro fit gas turbine that with a few wee mod's will fit inside a set of GSXR cases  - ah the smell of castrol R - eh? sorry mate thats kerosine from the afterburner
