Hi folks. I have a Gsx1100et that I want to do as a project. It got taken off the road a few years ago due to head problems. I known I have seen gsx1100ets with Efe heads but I don't know what is involved. Is it a straight swap or is there more involved? I. Would appreciate any information or a prod in the direction of a thread that has the info. I did a search but not found anything. Thanks in advance

why not stick with a replacement et head? or do you have an efe head lying around.

Hi. I have a spare Efe motor that came via a stolen recovered rolling chassis with motor. Are there any other bits that can be used to upgrade the Et?

why not use the complete EFE engine in the ET?

Hi. It is an unknown stood for a v long time. Also being stolen recovered the numbers have been obliterated. I know that the Et motor is good as we have owned it since the early nineties. It is 1170 and has clutch upgrade. Only the head needed work. I. Won't know if the Efe head is any good until I strip it off the motor but I think it will be better than the Et

sell the efe motor for parts. You will get lots of offers as lots of peaople run efe engines and need spares !! then get either a second hand et /kat head or spend the money getting your existing head sorted and maybe gas flowed. What is the head problem you mention on your et head?

Hi that may be a solution. The Et did a James bond smoke screen on start up from cold. We had the valve seals done twice and it didn't cure it. So thinking that the guides will probably need doing. I may just swap the heads if the Efe is a good one and sell on the rest.
