R1guy Posted March 25, 2016 Share Posted March 25, 2016 Gents, Im just putting together a parts list for finishing off my build. The motor is out of a Katana. It's got an 1170 kit in it, Kent cams, slotted wheels, standard carbs and a hopefully free flowing exhaust. In your experience, what are the best filters for it? Gixer1460 Posted March 25, 2016 Share Posted March 25, 2016 CV's really don't work that well with open mouths / trumpets / ram pipes - WOT maybe but everywhere else they just get confused! I'd say stick with the airbox and mod it with a K&N so good airflow and plenum which CV's prefer. Quote Link to comment

Nigkat Posted March 25, 2016 Share Posted March 25, 2016 I run with k&Ns sweet as never had any probs. similar spec to yours but with RS36`s. If its more of any everyday ride your gonna be better off with filters. Quote Link to comment
