R1guy Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Gents, Im just putting together a parts list for finishing off my build. The motor is out of a Katana. It's got an 1170 kit in it, Kent cams, slotted wheels, standard carbs and a hopefully free flowing exhaust. In your experience, what are the best filters for it? Or should I run no filters with trumpets/gauze? ta Guy Quote

Gixer1460 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 CV's really don't work that well with open mouths / trumpets / ram pipes - WOT maybe but everywhere else they just get confused! I'd say stick with the airbox and mod it with a K&N so good airflow and plenum which CV's prefer. Quote

Nigkat Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I run with k&Ns sweet as never had any probs. similar spec to yours but with RS36`s. If its more of any everyday ride your gonna be better off with filters. Quote
