Upshotknothole Posted January 24 Posted January 24 (edited) Is there any easy way to ditch that big metal bracket that goes under the front fender on the Ws? Seems like the fender is strong enough on its own to not need that thing. I need to pull mine apart, but thinking I should be able to just use nuts in place of it. Thanks Not mine, but image added to show what I'm talking about. Edited January 24 by Upshotknothole Added photo Quote
Captain Chaos Posted January 25 Posted January 25 I ditched the one on my 7/11 over 20 years ago and the mudguard holds fine. Only the brake lines need some new brackets made to prevent them from scratching the paint. 2 Quote

Muddy Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Interested to know where you are getting your carbon front fender. I might go down the same route. Would you be OK to share where you are getting it? Quote

Would you be OK to share where you are getting it? Bought it off Eblag from a company in California. It was either them or direct from China, and this one very well could have been made in China, but the quality seems good enough for my needs. Just search for TL1000R carbon front fenders. Muddy Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Thanks and appreciated. My mistake, I was searching for GSXR 750w carbon front fender and missed the detail on the TLR swap. Quote

Don’t really see much in the way of carbon 750W parts out there. Quote
Upshotknothole Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 Did a quick mock up tonight with the TLR fender. The front bolt holes need to be spaced out a little bit, they’re pinching the sides in. Rear bolt holes seem to be pretty close to spot on. Once I get some spacers in there I’ll see if I need to shave the inner part of the fender to clear the rotors. 3 Quote
