One other question. I already ordered a new head gasket and O-rings for the oil passage ways, new O-rings for the oil return tubes on the front. About to order valve guide seals from APE. Am I forgetting anything?

I've got looms for all three. Also it'll be getting RS38s and going into a sports bike setup. Looking more for top end and speed, I'm sure it'll have plenty of torque to get lugged around town. I'll be using the GSXR 750 dot cams, cam sprockets will be getting swapped.

The red line isn't a big deal. The motor won't pull beyond the 1100 red line beyond second gear, the power is already dropping off well before.

I personally would use the the gsxr1100 cd given a choice, then the 750.

I avoid Bandit parfs if possible, they give me the heebeegeebees.

Thanks, I'll dig out a GSXR1100 CDI then.

If you dig out the pdfs of the genuine Suzuki workshop manuals for the usual suspect bikes, then they give the data for the advance/retard profile and rev limit so you can pick and choose the CDI you think will suit your application best. These differ between 1100 slingshots and slabbies, and 1200 blandits. Fitting an 1100 slabby ignitition to a 1200 Blandit perks up the low/mid range as it advances the ignition a bit.
