clivegto Posted November 24, 2024 Author Posted November 24, 2024 Inlet pipe on the plenum was a little long so I cut 17mm of it and rolled another bead onto it with my new toy. Cut some bits of pipe up and rolled beads onto them as well then cut some silocne pipe up to connect the intercooler to the plenum 11 Quote

clivegto Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 The Martin tank has 3 recesses for rubber mounts underneath 1 at the front and 2 at the back, the front one had been used before recently but not the back 2. Got some m8, 30x30mm rubber mounts then re-made the front mounting point then made a bracket to mount to a 22mm pipe clamp I bought which fastens to the frame behind the plenum and under the back of the tank. This now enables me to alter the hight of the tank to whatever I want. 3 Quote

clivegto Posted December 20, 2024 Author Posted December 20, 2024 Couple of rubber buffers turned up in the post today so this evening I knocked up a little bracket to hold them. Can you guess what it's for yet ? 1 Quote
clivegto Posted December 21, 2024 Author Posted December 21, 2024 (edited) So I stuck the bracket to the bottom of the pipe clamp with the little stick welder. Top part is also the back fuel tank rubber mount. These 2 new rubber mounts sit underneath that and will stop the plenum blowing off the carburettors under boost, bit of lidle gloss black . Of to the pub now on black eye Saturday Edited December 21, 2024 by clivegto 5 Quote

clivegto Posted January 18 Author Posted January 18 Shaped the left rearset bracket up a bit swapped some brass bushes around on the gear lever so as I can use the one that matches the back brake leverjust needs a proper gear rod to finish it of. 2 Quote

clivegto Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 The Martin came with a trick little bracket to hold the rear master cylinder which bolts the clutch cover. I'v made a little bracket to connect the brake lever to the master cylinder this evening. 6 Quote
clivegto Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago Thunderace calipers don't fit the bigger R1 discs was going to use some harrison ones but there heavy so I've decided to use radial calipers coz there light and I have a couple of nice sets kicking about. Searched the Internet for adapters and even rang Hel who couldn't help. Not to be put off by this I have started to make a prototype out of a couple of bits of steel angle. So far so good 3 Quote
