Gsx1100er Posted January 17 Posted January 17 At some point on the future build I will be using K1 K2 or K3 instrument pod. Im told I will need a B12 Mk2 sprocket cover as it has the digital speed sensor . Will this cover fit my 750F engine and will the hydraulic clutch mechanism be OK with the 750F pushrod setup ? Cheers chaps Gaz Quote
TonyGee Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I think they will fit but not 100% sure ? the pushrod will probably need the right length but not a big problem, you will also need the pickup ring that bolts to the output shaft and if its not already drilled and tapped it will need doing. Quote
Gsx1100er Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 Cheers TG, more info into the little black book of " How to............." Gaz Quote
Dezza Posted January 17 Posted January 17 750f early slabby (hydraulic) or 750f teapot (cable)? Both engines use a pushrod that will work with both cable and hydraulic covers, which are both available with and without the ability to accept a speedo sensor. As you state, later 1200 blandits have the speedo sensor for hydraulic but later 600 blandits and teapots are cable with sensor. Quote
Gsx1100er Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 750F teapot. That gives me a bit more choice, Thanks Dezza. Gaz Quote
wraith Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Don't forget the b6 MK2 will work and it's cable and being a b6 cheep but the rota that bolts to the output shaft will probably cost you as much if not more than the side cover. Quote
Gsx1100er Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 £15 on the bay of e's , unless of course any one has been using one for a door stop and now wants rid ? Gaz Quote
davecara Posted January 17 Posted January 17 As said, if you're on a cable clutch now use a mk2 B6 cover and make sure you get the speedo rotor too, they're common to loads of Suzuki's so they can be picked up for very little money 1 Quote
Gsx1100er Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 Im a fan of hydraulic clutches as anyone with an EFE would understand. The 7/12 is hydraulic and I love it. The new build will be as well. Gaz Quote
Dezza Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I have bike with a Blandit engine thst has a 750 teapot cover and cable, with a GSXR1000 perch and lever, and the clutch is feather light. I also have a Harris EFE and when I fitted an expensive hydraulic conversion from Venhill was much miffed when it made SFA difference. I went back to the cable for simplicity's sake. 1 Quote
