Hi, I believe this is a gsx1100 motor? From around 85-90?

Having trouble not getting any spark..

Have replaced coil packs leads and plugs

Have checked magneto, pulse generator with no luck.. traced all wiring and can't seem to find a problem...any help at all would be awesome! Also any info of what motor it is, number on block is 3110X-45565

It definitely is an aircooled 1100.

As it's black i would like to suggest to look for the 1983 to 1985 GSX 1100 ESD - the round tube frame version -  for the most results for parts and diagrams.

As for no spark. If they re-used the original / model specific CDI or ignitor unit ... that is now 40 years old , i would test that first.

I can not see it on the pictures BTW

Great thanks very much! I did take the original cdi apart and blew it out but that may be the problem as I can't find anything else not working, is there any way to test the cdi ?

Indeed an 1100ESD or late 1100S Katana

This does not have a CDI but an igniter. Should be too difficult to get one second hand if it is suspect

whats the difference ? i thought they where basically the same !!!  but not like T.C.I

As I understand the difference, a CDI can advance and retard spark, but an ignitor needs a mechanical govenor behind the pickups for advance
