I have a 78 gs750 and looking to put a gsxr or bandit swingarm on.  Is there one that will fit without totally hacking up my frame. I'm not afraid to do it however would rather not

I have a 13 gsxr and it will fit without the bushings and chain guide. To make it fit I'll have to widen the left side by .500 to .750 for the chain. The image below is just the swingarm with nothing else.

For a Bandit 1200 swingarm you use these bushes. Then you can use the original swing arm axle.

Cut off the mounting point for the shock, otherwise it will touch the battery box.

Brake cilinder needs relocation

What's the largest size tire you can use with a bandit 1200 swingarm

I run 180 but it is borderline. 170 is a better choice, as some brand tyres end up to be a bit wider

Have a chat with @papa_jaiba- he just popped a b12 arm into a gsx750 no sweat.

I've got a 5.5" rim with a 190 tyre in my GS1000 with Bandit swingarm.

But I needed to modify the frame to allow for the chain.

Let's see the mod to the frame

I only have a photo from the build.

Cut about 6 mm from the tubes, weld plate in it covering both tubes, weld plate on the outside for extra reinforcement.

Als weld some flatbar horizontally..

I was afraid it wouldn't be strong enough, so I probably went overboard a little.

Keep in mind that the swingarm goes up and down, allow for this.
