JoeHugin Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Hello, One of my carbs on my GV75A Bandit has started to make grief. Over night, it started leaking fuel. Hard to get idling, spits and is near impossible to drive on low rpm's, on 50% to wide open there are no issues generally. I opened and inspected the wet carb, didnt see no issues. Thinking a carb rebuild is whats needed. So! TL:DR, what carb rebuild kit is worth the money, and who can get it to Norway/Europe in maximum 7 days? Found these at WeBike, and they ship super fast. But never heard of this brand? https://www.webike.no/products/23817604.html#specification Would it be better to go for the All Balls kit? Quote
Rijko Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 I have rebuilt many carbs, and my experience is with aftermarket stuff it's a crap shoot. Original stuff never gave me problems. Replacing o-rings and gaskets usually is enough, unless parts are worn/damaged. 2 Quote
DAZ Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Probably the float valve, might just have a bit of muck holding it open ,might be worn, try a strip and clean of the float bowl area if you want before spending lots of cash, it might work , as @Rijkosays aftermarket stuff can be a lottery though keyster have been around a while Quote

Same here, CMSNL or Robinsons to order the float valves and all the 'O' rings and seals. It seems expensive to buy them from the dealers but you only have to do it once that way. Carburettors are a simple device and people often take that to mean near enough is good enough when working on them. The reality is that the tolerances are very tight and the parts you need, even simple stuff like 'O' rings, require a precise fit. Quote
Dezza Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 For gaskets and O'rings try Litetek from Thailand. I have bought several kits and they're as good as OEM. They're not cheap but they're cheaper than the lunatic prices for OEM. When it comes to stuff like valve needles and seats though, pattern parts are probably best avoided. https://www.litetek.co/index.html 1 Quote
Captain Chaos Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Tourmax is also good quality in my experience. Japanese, not Chinese. Quote
