kja.busa Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 Looking for new tyres, on the standard rims, but seems Bridgestones are the only option in standard sizing, what are others using? I seem to think ladt time I ran an efe I ran a 140 rear, but back then there was more choice, be interesting to see what others are running. Not bothered about longevity.
Dorkburger Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 I used to go up up a size - 140 on the rear, 120 up front. Last go, I went with stock sizes and noticed zero difference in handling. Unless your after a look, stock is Fine. My understanding is that you can't go crazy trying to fit fat tires on skinny rims without compromising handling. 1
kja.busa Posted January 21, 2023 Author Posted January 21, 2023 I'm not bothered about going too big, a 140 rear sounds familiar to what I ran before many years ago. Is the 120 front a 120/80-16?
Dorkburger Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 Currently it has 110-90-16 on the front and 130-90-17 on the rear. They are the Bridgestone BT 45 tires. I generally don’t ride too aggressively so I don’t need sticky gumball tires. 1
Dorkburger Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 Yikes. Apologies for aiding and abetting a rule breaker. I have R T F R. Apparently I forgot that rule. I’ll take my lashes now...
