Just got a text too say a long lost loom from a harris gs 1000 has been found so massive thanks too si bag

did few hours on my bike yesterday and removed the old loom , pulled the points cover off and big smiles all round its got a dyna s fitted so will be on the look out for coils to match

Ap racing calipers are probably the best brakes I've used even better than modern radial stuff

ok day three on bike re fresh and checked loom and fitted new vwp plugs on loom , many thanks to my mate jb ,

thursday will be  stripping the exhaust paint , also  quick carb clean and check pilot jets

my engine has the large port head , so the carbs i have will be sold and in the short term i will use the vm29 flatslides and some gsxr carb rubbers .

As red herrings go that's a whopper as the slides came with it

Do you think its the CV carb head 1980 on,think slides were 78/79 .

i have engine in frame with large port head and i have small port bare head in box of bits barrels pistons and gearbox and other random engine parts .

when measured the diffrence on inlet rubbers would be 10mm ish 61.5 small and large port head 71mm center of mounting bolts

 

so i am going to route through my gsxr 750 box of bits and get the rubbers and my vm29s from my other project

ordered a fork brace from america as it old and will fit with the look 

exhausts was an original mild steel harris original

new main jets arrived , and i decided to fit new stainless cap heads on the vm29ss and new filters  also new screen
