peter1127 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 probably because of the high presure. If you run the pump at 90psi it flows around 225L/Hr according to various people who bothered to do the test. https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=04ccc06d6a14a3bd&rlz=1C1CHBD_nlNL1043NL1043&q=bosch+044+pressure+graph&udm=2&fbs=AEQNm0Aa4sjWe7Rqy32pFwRj0UkWd8nbOJfsBGGB5IQQO6L3J_TJ4YMS4eRay1mUcjRHkZxg8Vy0p2Xq9PcZNNq1Ew9zQooLZH5gQS3wVxeld5ohRXutwtU5CU2X36_uLH1pIUk5kgTFJ72LHrHs1dTrQZP2bShAIpXPbBXJuSHMpD67_7PI_IrPeKYP6OPe9Ff2p8rktfex&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwim-rbVnLmJAxVygf0HHe-QCCcQtKgLegQIDhAB&biw=2560&bih=1319&dpr=1#vhid=SGOLBMIevLm8wM&vssid=mosaic So if you go north of 400hp I can imagine this will become an issue. 94RF1146 Posted October 31 Author Posted October 31 Before I installed my 150psi fuel pressure sensor , I set the base pressure with the liquid filled gauge I had on the fuel rail. This was obviously not accurate. Quote
94RF1146 Posted November 2 Author Posted November 2 (edited) I'll lower my fuel pressure to 43-45psi. Got another 1 gal fuel cell , 3 x -10 bungs in the back ( pump #1, pump #2 and a drain). Need to weld the 2 male bung and a divider in-between. Here's a pic of my MaxxEcu Sport setup. Using spare IAN 8 for wheelie control and Extra Output 8 for pump #2 relay. I have the external water pump fused direct from the battery so I can let it run with the bike off. Awaiting my second 400lph pump. In the next few weeks, I will redo my harness including the 2 new devices and shield the whole harness. I'm not in a rush. Edited November 3 by 94RF1146 Orthograph Quote
Arttu Posted November 3 Posted November 3 (edited) For reference, an AEM 400lph pump started to run out of the flow around 750hp, on E85 fuel. That was at 4.8 bar / 70 psi total pressure, 3 bar base + boost. Edited November 3 by Arttu Quote

Using this logic - if you need 50lbs of boost to go 400+hp, I think you've got more fundamental issues! Edited November 3 by Gixer1460 Quote

Just used the numer I saw in his post: 45psi boost. Add 45psi base pressure, you are at 90 psi pump pressure. This results in around 225L/hr, which seems not enough to support the horsepower associated with 45psi boost. Quote
94RF1146 Posted November 11 Author Posted November 11 (edited) Killing the time, the weather is shit here in Vancouver. Rain, rain, rain. I rebuilt the 6 pots calipers in front and the rear caliper. Added a spring to prevent brake drag. Also did some detailing.. Edited November 11 by 94RF1146 2 Quote
94RF1146 Posted Sunday at 04:54 AM Author Posted Sunday at 04:54 AM New fuel system for more power... 2x 400 lph in parallel or sequential. I'm going with sequential. Quote
