GS oil cooler adapter question

These adapters are advertised as fitting the GS 2 valve motors. Is there a reason that it can not be used on a 4 valve motor as long as it clears the tensioner wheel?

I'm confused.......... this unit appears to allow for a temp gauge and four valve units use a temp gauge.  Is there no oil light or electrical connections for the temp gauge on GS1000s?

Those adapters miss a rim to centre the O-ring.
