Del Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Diaphragm tap or non-diaphragm tap?If it is a non-diaphragm tap,then you need to turn the tap off when you are not using the bike.If it is a diaphragm tap,then rust(i had this happen) could be stopping the diaphragm from shutting off.Strip and clean. Also check your carbs,the float heights could be wrong or there is wear. Quote

KATANAMANGLER Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 If the diaphragm on the tap is shot and seat of the needle valve is worn or the needle valve O ring is shot the fuel will work its way past while the bike is on its sidestand. Quote

jonny1bump Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I had pingel fuel tap fail that caused bore wash and yet another rebuild when engine was quite fresh.Taps can be complete pain and cause all sorts of problems. The stock suzuki tap is awful on tuned engine can starve it of fuel, I seen 5 hp improvement on one once just pressing on tap. Quote
