Where do I take the petcock vacuum pipe from on these ?  Can I use one of the blanked off outlets on the Carb tops ?

Yes, just attach a pipe from the vacuum on the tap to one of the carbs top. Job done.

Wouldn't the pipe ID at each end be quite different, or have you sourced the first tapered fuel pipe

I haven't seen the taps vacuum outlet to know the bore size. But it wouldn't be rocket science to sleeve one rubber hose in to another if the bore on on the vacuum outlet was much larger than the take off on the carb top or vice-versa.

Usually one of the inlet rubbers has a take off specifically for this function and its size matches the vac. tap port? Not saying a carb top port won't work but they are really choked down for vac gauge idle set-up and stop the needle flickering too much.

i reckon there's a difference, but nowhere near enough to sleeve it down

I fitted a set of these to my GSX1100 and took the feed from one of the carb tops, no issues the pipe size was the same, no sleeving required and it worked fine.
