  1. Picture of my work in progress, stretched by about 6" by cutting the ends of a 2nd arm and welding it back together using solid billet slugs in between the two halves. adjustable dog bones made up and one of Dan's bottom mounts, without this mount the suspension was so stiff it hardly moved! 6" wheel and 520 chain used to get more clearance.
  2. Thanks guys, all of you. I get it there isn’t that much that can be done but it will be stripped over winter so I’ll look to vent the carb breather backwards and do things as neatly as poss once it’s in bits, I’ve street fighterd it so not much room under seat either!
  3. Good afternoon chaps, I'm constantly evolving my WP and looking for ways to tidy up under the tank, and just make things more accessible. I've already put a T piece on the fuel lines as I run a Pingle hi flow tap, the things that annoy me the most are the breathers, they all fell to bits the original ones so I've just added filters as you can see but these are a bit shit and bulky. If I go to stick coils that will make some space at the back but what's best for the breathers?
  4. Very interesting project, what - 1290cc motor are you using, Oil cooled, Water boiler or Busa?
  5. Finally finished ( well for this summer at least ) Update, I've had a custom link pipe made for the exhaust now so I've been able to ride it for the first time with Dan's suspension bracket and with the Busa bottom link and my adjustable dog bones. The transformation is great I now have working rear suspension that cushions bumps and no longer bounces me out of the seat and tips me forward onto the tank. I;ve also saved a few kilos by dumping the horrible old exhaust can and pipe so it's a win win, working suspension, less weight and a nicer exhaust note to boot, here are the pics.
  6. Does anyone have the port spacing for 4 cylinder water cooled Suzuk's obviously only ones that are allowed in here? I'm toying with looking at FI again this winter, so wondering what TB's might fit my 93 WP, are there any that wouldn't need re - spacing? thinking Busa, Blandit 1250, or even GSX1400? any others? Or is it a case of looking for a set of early say what now!? K model ones where there are 4 individual bodies.
  7. After all that the pictures came out in the wrong order, but I'm sure you can work out the correct order.
  8. I thought it would be good to finalise the thread and show the finished setup. I rode the bike for a while with the Busa Arm, and all other parts GSXR WP except for homemade dog bones. It was apparent straight away that the suspension was way too hard even with the shock preload took all the way off, it would bounce me out of the seat over any bumps and made the ride much more front end down. So I bit the bullet and bought one of Dans bottom brackets and during trial fitting it was obvious that the bottom linkage wouldn't fit so I bought a Busa linkage and then bought the parts to make adjustable dog bones as I was sick of making non adjustable ones and having to make new ones when the height wasn't quite correct. So its all now together, but I can't road test it yet as the new linkage is in the way of the exhaust routing, so currently looking for someone to make me a new link pipe. here are the comparison pictures; 1 - standard WP rear end 2 - new arm, with standard bracket 3 - new arm, with standard bracket and one off dogbones 4 - new angle with dans bracket 5 - linkage now in the way of the exhaust
  9. Also from memory the Gearing commander (or whatever its called) gearing website has calculations of what length chain you need with different combinations of sprockets. I used it when I went 530 on my TLR. You can also buy and fit your sprockets and then just measure what length chain you need and then convert it to the number of links to be 100% sure.
  10. @Jpich85 - Just to confirm you fitted the busa arm and then a GSX600F knuckle without getting a new bottom bracket adaptor plate from DanM ? and the suspension feels sort of normal ?
  11. Thanks pal, much appreciated, I'll get in the shed when the rain stops and measure up.
  12. Would you be able to provide me the dimensions of your bracket please, distances between mounting holes, width of the 2 pivot areas etc ?
  13. Yes I have so far, but if the suspension travel increases once I soften the rear end it might not as its fairly close ATM.
  14. Yes it’s nearly done, it all works but the suspension is very hard due to the angle of the dog bones. I need a lowered bottom bracket, to get the suspension leverage back to what it was. I’ll put some pics up later
  15. Yes I agree, I’ll focus on getting the geometry right first off.
  16. Thanks Guys, I'll chase up DanM and see if one of his adaptors will fit my bike, if not then it's probably time for a custom shock.
  17. Just following up on this as I'm not sure if Dan still makes the adaptor plates, the alternative is a new softer rear spring, so my question is do we have or know of any spring rate charts for standard bikes or easily available "alternative" rear shocks? I've seen the shock length chart but that doesn't cover spring rates.
  18. Doe anyone know if Dan still makes these as I could probably do with one as well for my WP, Also does anyone have the dimensions of one so I can see if it will fit my WP since they were designed for oil boilers and not water boilers?
