davecara Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Yes you can get bolt on drag slots. Very popular with Americans along with neon lights, excessive chrome and removing half your front brakes. Dont. They’re crap and unsafe. If you want a longer arm get a set of proper drag slots welded in 6 Quote
DAZ Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 +1 on bolt on drag slots being a bad choice , still not as bad as the neon lights though... 2 Quote
Jonny Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Has anyone put an Inazuma arm in a GS I wonder? It looks good and is already set up for twin shocks. Quote
DAZ Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Probably, though in the UK they're quite rare I'm going to make the assumption that as they're from a bandit-esque (why did spell checker want to make that grotesque) frame that it's the same size pivot and just needs top hats Quote

Just had a quick Google,as you do and your right they are a longer wheelbase,57.8 vs 56.5 for a bandit, so not a huge difference, maybe visually the longer tailpiece makes the bandit arm seem shorter? DAZ Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Fair play Dave ,hadn't really looked into it too deeply looked like a similar design to the bandit around the swing arm pivot and thought Mr Suzuki San doesn't like change for changes sake so didn't think there would be any difference,as that would muck up the chain tension as the arm moves up and down . I never considered the front wheel spindle ! Good spot fella 1 Quote
TonyGee Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 the main cradle of the zuma frame (the bit that wraps round the engine) is practically the same as a bandit, I think I measured around 2 inches between the two swingers approx. 1 Quote
wraith Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 What about the gsx1400 swingarm? Twin shock and you could fit the 6" rim. Sure I've seen one fitted to a GS before. Quote

Now that would be proper beefy, be some work on the chain run I would have thought though a few have done the 6" before off set sprockets and machined cush drive etc 1 Quote

Never seen one in a GS. I think the hub is too wide. Certainly not in a twin shock I tried for about three months to get a Busa rim into mine. Quote
