simesman Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Looking good. What rear shocks do you use? I am after some standardish looking shocks for my GS1000 and they look good. Are they Ikon's? Quote
HUM Posted June 20, 2019 Author Posted June 20, 2019 Hi the rear shocks are standard length Konis , from the 90s or begin 2000 , working quiet well , was in the older times state of the art for a drivable bike. If u wamt I can check the serial number from this Shocks HUM Quote
simesman Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Yes please. I think Koni became Ikon if I remember correctly. I can't see any rebound adjuster so I assume they are not Dial-a-rides? If fixed damping, the serial number will help to track some down. There are loads of very crap shocks around and of course, some expensive shocks like Ohlins that are no doubt brilliant, but probably over the top for my GS. I reckon the Koni's are about right. HUM Posted June 25, 2019 Author Posted June 25, 2019 Hi Yes konis are rather OK for 70´s / 80´s Bikes serial #´s are 7610 1394 download papers here, only in German :-( https://suzuki-classic.de/i/gutachten/koni_01.pdf HUM Quote
simesman Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Thank you HUM. So, they are dial-a-rides! I wonder if the IKON units are as good? Certainly look similar. Quote
