  1. does not look like the OEM rear master, compared to this anyways https://www.ronniesmailorder.com/oemparts/a/suz/50d401a2f8700230d8b4e538/rear-master-cylinder-model-t
  2. Because you have a trike with brakes on each rear wheel you do not have the original Suzuki rear master!? Post up a picture of your master.

Anti-dives were usually on the front of the fork. A better pic of down there would help. Heck, they may not even be Suzuki forks

If it's the 1000 it has to be a L model, leading edge forks.
  6. Gorgeous! I plan on getting mine out of hibernation next week. I only wish her bodywork was as nice as yours.

  8. See if this helps https://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?193730-Colored-wiring-diagrams&highlight=Color+diagram
  9. No synthetic oils, I use Shell Rotella diesel oil, 15w40
  10. Appers to be factory fibres. They are aluminum, a lot of the aftermarkets are steel which destroy the basket, what I have been told anyways. The springs are 1/2 a mm taller than the minimum requirement. I plan on putting in new springs as they are only a few $ each. However, I have some GS1150 springs here with 35000 km on them and they measure 3/4 mm taller than the ones in there now so thinking of trying them also. So, brown scotchbrite the steels before install?
  11. Great, thanks for the reply. Maybe I will just bite the bullet and spend the money!
  12. Guess I will ck them on a real surface plate at work. I wonder if they are warped because of the inconsistent wear/shiny pattern on them?
  13. Very minor grooves in either. I dressed them out while building the engine. Basically normal wear, they can be barely felt with the finger nail. I would assume this is fine? If not then it is time to upgrade to the GSX modded basket, when funds are available
  14. Working on my 1000. I was noticing last year my clutch was slipping at about 6000. So I tore into it this week and the fibres measure pretty close to new as per the manual. The steels and springs also measure well as per the manual. Another thing I noted last year was shudder when letting out the clutch, more prominent when hot. When I was inspecting the steels, I noticed there seemed to be shiny spots at various areas on all steels. No bluing anywhere. I read that if you put the steels together and can see light between them they are fooked! Well I can see light between them but when I put them on a piece of glass, me surface plate, I can't get the specified feeler, for failing, as per the manual, under it. So would the steels be NFG if they have those shiny areas on them? And would that be the cause of my shuddering and slipping? Thanks in advance gents
  15. That looks perfect! Suzuki should have done it like that IMOP.
  16. So I got my machinist buddy to mod the spare plug I had. Drilled and tapped for the temp sensor and then surfaced the end as the factory bolt is convex. I will be adding some pics to my thread is the projects section in the next few days, "gs1000 tidy-up"
  17. My 1000 basket has been beefed up with the backing plate and welded already. It's still holding up even with my twisty wrist
  18. Damn, thanks! I thought I read somewhere that they were all the same with the big 4 cyl engines. Oh well, time to buy some from MR. Suzuki
  19. Will the clutch fibers from a GSX1100 or 1150 fit a GS1000? If they do can I use the 1000 steels with them? From my understanding the GSX steels are thicker and can't be used in the 1000 basket? Thanks
  20. Big box full of GS air cooled parts, from 4 engines I parted out. Some get giddy when it gets opened
  21. So they remove the plug on the RH side and put the sensor in there? I have a spare bolt for that hole. I could tap it to fit the sensor and read the temp at that location. That is the oil feed to all bearings, out of the pump, so that would be the best temp to read as most oil temp gauges read the oil going into the engine rather than the the sump temp. Will look at that also. Thanks everybody
  22. Mine does not, but I believe I may have one of those covers in my tickle trunk! Will look tomorrow, cheers.
  23. I will have a look there, never noticed a bolt before, but it could be there!
