Sometimes something special appears and your bike sir is one of those things. Fantastic looking bike and obviously a hoooge ammount of time, effort and love has gone into this. Very impressive.

I use this one on my ET https://www.newton-equipment.com/tank-vent-valves-small-tank-valve-model-thv45.html My ET has big holes in the cylinders, big holes in the cylinder head and big holes in the carbs and is run in 36 degree heat and I haven't had any problems at all with it. When it's sitting in the sun there's a constant hiss coming from it

For anybody that's going to be around Melbourne at the end of January this is a must. One of the best motorcycling events there is IMO. http://www.ma.org.au/index.php?id=12&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=16381&cHash=9c444e332467a5fed679cc7af052ddb9

I use Gazi Hyper X on my ET http://www.gazisuspension.com/products.html and am quite happy with them. Reasonable price and good quality. A lot of the Period 5 race bikes here in Oz use these shocks. -
That's a very nice looking EFE, yummy.
-
Plus one for Dave at Exhaust craft. He built my exhaust system, big bore tubing and flat collector box for a very affordable price
-
G'day mate. Looking forward to the pics. Have done some similar mods to my ET(Melbourne muscle project) Good luck with the final bits and pieces
-
Plus 1 for the output shaft bearing. GSX crank roller bearings are pretty tough. Do you know the origin and age of your engine internals?
-
That's an awesome looking build. A man after my own heart in your build approach. Sweet.
-
Oh and by the way Paulm you have a stunning ET there
-
Et's rock indeedy but excuse me sir, bin the old aircooled boat anchor!! Heresy and acriledge I say. Keep the old aircooled lump and fill it with big pistons and cams and you have heaven
-
Yeah I know a lot of people don't de seam their wheels for safety reasons but all I can say is that I ran my old GSX for years with de seamed wheels without any issues. The seams do look ugly though.
-
If you're going to do the B12 front end thing with B12 wheels then I'd definitely get them de seemed as the B12 wheels look absolute pants with the seams still there.

Well there's these before and after pics and my build thread is in OSS member projects under Melbourne muscle project re visited although I think some of the pics have been lost http://oldskoolsuzuki.info/forums/index.php?/topic/1296-melbourne-muscle-project-re-visited/ For what it's worth, and I am obviously a bit biased, do whatever you need to do to finish your project and take as long as you need to to finish your project because when it's done all the pain, expense and frustration will be worth it when you press the button and twist the go handle. My ET puts such a big shit eating grin on my face whenever I get it out on to the open roads. Good luck.

I used a Serck 13 row oil cooler with HEL lines and fittings on my ET and it keeps my oil nice and cool. I used the same set up when I lived in the UK with no problems. As Pedda said EFE oil filter cover or original et cover with a plug fitted internally.
