  1. I know, i bought them Already Roger U. big bored, so i'm going both
  2. And can anyone explain why the GHJ & the 1100F have differing sizes of jets, 2x middles generally 2.5 smaller than the outers?
  3. And another baffler, Fowlers fische shows the top rail, adjuster & tops as the same. Only the bottom rail don't have the middle carb cutout. So maybe after all, they are GSX1100F carbs?
  4. Well going on the bottom rail i would say J model, but the top rail is slightly different. Also the tickover screw mech is different to all the GHJ models?
  5. Should have done that while they were off, but they're all assembled on bike now
  6. Having looked at jet kits etc, i noticed these carbs aren't the same as GSX1100F ones. I assumed they belonged to the engine they came with. Can anyone ID them properly? They are tin tops without the balancing spigots?
  7. £1320 you been smoking too much of your stash
  8. Blandit 12 for a grand, point me in that direction
  9. I asked this Q a while back & was reliably informed my GSX1100F lump is best option as Cap'n says

    Cdi?

Yellow was probably Green that's faded. Tacho wire is not needed unless you have/want one

4 pin block (bottom) you should def have all 4 6 pin block you should have at least top L & R plus bottom R. That's minimum you need

  13. Fuck me @banoffeethat's nearly as clean as yours, however i can see a speck on the rear wheel
  14. It was! degreased bolt & crank end surface. Reassembled, Loctite & torqued up. Bingo i have an engine that turns over Sometimes it really is the simple things. Why it was loose is a baffler?
  15. Looks like i've answered my own question. The starter clutch on 1127-1157 engines has many (30+) rollers, so it's not a repairable part! And when i took the big bolt off, it was literally hand tight, which could explain the free spinning of the large starter gear! More things i'm finding out about this engine as i go along!
  16. Searched Fowlers & Robinsons & no sign on their parts of the rollers etc? Eblag only has one for the GSXR1100F/G/H 1052 engine, mine's a GSX1100F 1127? No listings for anything 1127 or 1157?
  17. As said, never had to take one apart, so assume the design is an improvement on the GS? No welding etc needed? And tips for removing, as i don't have specific tools, but a normal garage full of useable tools.
  18. Open to a wider audience here, looks like the starter clutch has failed on the 1127 drag build. Never entered my head as i've not had one fail ever before, only my GS1000 did quite a few years back. Anyhoo, cover off to watch it & the starter turns the idler gear, which in turn rotates the large gear c/clockwise. I know this should then lock & force the inner to turn on the crank, but this ain't happening. Trying to turn it manually clockwise is ok & other way is not. But under starter load it spins freely! I have never had to fix one of these, so don't have the specific tools. Any tips would help, plus best place for rebuild kit, or dump it & get a 2nd hand one?
  19. I stay well away from Fully Synth. Semi for me oil boilers & Mineral for the Air cooleds
  20. Did the modern upgrade on mine (sometimes wish i hadn't) so i would ask @Rsvfletchwhat he did
  21. No bearings remotely that size! Double check your OD measurement & see if any numbers stamped on it
  22. Too skinny to be JMC & the adjusters
