  1. Tap in Google pod filter with relevant diameter and something might come up ?

Leaving just a pod filter there can maintain a greasy area over time around the spot. Best is a remote catch can (doesn't have to be big)

  2. Yep if course

A G or H sprocket is indeed what i need, but with 51 or 52 teeth, so a custom is required, hence my initial question, but i have found that Supersprox has the option ready in their catalog.

    Thanks

  3. Will a smaller sprocket clear the swingarm movement ? I'd rather be sure of clearance, i'm thinking the gearbox sprocket position compared to the frame and swingarm pivot etc could cause some issue

  4. Well supersprox has them up to 53 teeth with a 3 week wait.

It's the alloy hub riveted steel tooth ring version and indeed 75€ seems to be a recurrent price. Although this not being a plain steel sprocket might make it more "reasonable"

  5. Ah didn't know that one it's better to use than the french one i go to usually

Didn't know the small bandits had the same pcd but that said the biggest available is 48 teeth.

Looks like there won't be any off the shelf options unfortunately

Had i kept 17 inch tyres i would be fine, but ¬¬

  6. Hey

Does anyone know of a straightforward supplier who can produce custom sprockets without making 500 ?

    The situation is :

    - 1980 GSX 1100

    - sling engine

    - slab fork and wheels

problem is, since the gearing of the sling box and slab box are not the same, the baselines of the OE sprocket kit are not identical, and the PCD of the sprocket carrier not being the same, means

    - i can't fit a sling sprocket on the slab carrier

    - i can't find off the shelf a slab 51 tooth sprocket for the slab carrier

Unless there is another carrier i could use but i doubt it i think the slab one is quite specific

  7. I welded a CBR900 SC29 brace on my '89 GSXR 1100 swingarm and it looks quite at home.

I then added a Gen 1 R1 mudguard on the brace, and the contours were compatible, so I guess that answers your question

..... great engine !   aside from the poor oil pressure , stator output , poor clutch basket , starter clutch issues ......and a few other issues but who’s counting

They don't need high oil pressure because of the roller bearing crank ;)

Suzuki quote the power output of a stock 1100 EFE engine as higher than that of an 1100 slabside or 1200 Blandit so it's not always about max hp numbers. The power delivery of the aircooled lump is 'intoxicating' , especially the mid-range. Try finding a good one though or even a knackered one now without having to buy a whole bike.

I have a great one on the shelf just had a deep service with all gaskets and seals done
