  1. Nice purchase! Next to impossible to find here the the Sates. They were strictly gray market. Use to ride with a buddy who had the 500 (not sure which year). Always wanted either one
  2. This has been the culprit in a few of my issues with similar symptoms. Exterior signal line actually touching manifold in one circumstance. Bad connectors in the others
  3. Nice work on the cover. Man I just love a Slabby on slicks
  4. The yokes have the same off-set (32mm) but the TL tube is 50/55. I haven't done it myself but I understand that the F wheels are a direct swap.
  5. Thank you wraith I knew someone in OSS Land had done it before just couldn't remember who, when or if I even was I remembering it correctly. Ya Rene I don't think a 4.5 rim is your wheel house My current ES project is minimal mods (not very OSS, I know) I'll be more ambitious on my up coming EF project.
  6. Double checking my memory, sv650 rear wheel w/ a gs500 carrier is the most straight forward rear wheel swap for the gs1150 using the standard swinger, right?
  7. Can some one confirm or correct please. My caliper is a little dodgy
  8. Can someone double check my rod specs. 749cc = 18mm ID / 37mm ID x 109.5mm 750 srad= 16mm ID / 37mm ID x 106mm 1052cc = 20mm ID / 41mm ID x 117.5mm 1127cc = 20mm ID / 41mm ID x 117mm

    new exhaust

    Interesting, I found a 2.5" (64mm) for a V&H canister (not a mega). Not a direct fit but I'm make it work
  10. If you buy it I have an extra swingarm are down here in Oregon that could work for you. Its a little tweeked but it looks good and I don't think it would take much to get it straightened.
  11. I know your way past this point but yes you can reuse head gasket providing it hasn't been bent or otherwise damaged. It's common practice with 2-stroke engines. I quite often do it when I'm screwing around with heads and / or I know the gasket is fairly new. I also do it when when I'm working on a rat bike that I suspect has other issues or when it's not worth waiting on gaskets in the post. Use plenty of copper head gasket spray. However if I'm doing a restoration on an engine that wont be touched for years after I go ahead with a new one.
  12. I assume the Inside diameter is what your looking for?
  13. Had a feeling you were up to something like that Looking forward to your results
  14. the guts are all different. I wonder if the spacing is the same between any of them..... mounting etc
  15. Having a hard time imagining these two, pics pretty please Gixer1460 Plus, has anyone tried a weld-on location in the top case? Some where above or behind the transmission i'm thinking.
  16. Ohhhh right, seems so obvious now
  17. Is there any advantage in blocking them?
  18. Well that clinches it, my suspicions are correct
