  3. Two seat options . One is a recovered standard seat . Other is a period gulliari katana seat . I am thinking of having the gulliari seat recovered but keep the rear quater as is for the decals on the seat
  4. Took a gamble , saw a new koso unit on a build at the manchestwr show . Koso rx2n these show revs to 10k revs . Idea was i wonder if i can get that to fit into a standard katana 1100 gauge pod ? So contacted digital speedos spoke to jon and ordered the unit I will try to get a 3D printed in lay for the original gauge pod .
  5. Few more bits loosely fitted to give me the look . This is the result of 2 days of swearing . Today sunday is day of rest .
  6. In the previous exhaust pictures i had drawn on the foot rest an area to be removed so the can could fit that bit better
  7. Now the engine was in a previous harris magnum build i stripped and sold . The inlet rubbers were bought from suzuki and are supple and so the new mikuni rs 36s with a little grease on the inlets and the help of a good strong mate Popped in lovley Throttle and cables fitted at same time
  8. Exhaust decided on a brand new stainless delkevic set of headers and link pipe , i have an old skool cobra end can , that i think will go with the look i am after
  9. New quick action throttle and cables from nick at sps very quick delivery . Billet clutch pull arm Drilled fancy bolts to add a little bit of diffrence to this build , for the old oil way bolts
  10. Now lets start unpacking those boxes of parts
  11. Engine into frame is always a fun part of your day . Best method is engine on its side on a soft cloth chock engine on wood . Remove engine cam cover breather . Then lower frame over the engine .fit front engine mount bolt and rear engine mounting bolt . Then with the help of a friend . Lift frame with engine upright . Then the build can start .
  12. Ok few pictures fram has had gsx 1100 e foot rests modified to fit the katana fram as previous owner had removed standard footrest side frames
  13. Had a busy couple of days . Collected my frame from the legend that is jim king . So now the dry build will begin in as i have most parts . Will need all new rubber bushes and grommits for frame mountings
  14. Calipers re freshed new paint stainless bolts and copper slipped
  15. Update pic just sent through , braced arm chain run and shocks mounted so i can use bigger rear width wheel . Will be ready to collect next week
  16. Triumph calipers de badged with my mates help on milling machine . Will be having new paint and all stainless new bolts. And mounting to fork bolts
  17. Cheaper than uk and duty paid 12 days to my door . Depends on exchange rate but these cost £637 .00
  18. Bit the bullet and ordered new carbs from America duty paid and quick delivery. Over the moon Went for 36mm as i was advised
