Zweihammer Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 Other than being closer to road debris and other hazards, is there any concern from lowering the oil cooler down? Cheers, Zweihammer Quote
bluedog59 Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 The only things I can think of are, Check clearance if you go that low that it's in front of the downpipes and maybe airflow being blocked a little by the wheel/brakes etc. 1 Quote
manden Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 It's getting awfully close to a very hot exhaust 1 Quote
manden Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 Yoshi used and original cooler in front of the original cooler. Hope you understand my explanation 1 Quote
Wcrracing221 Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 You need to compress the front suspension to it’s limit to ensure the front wheel does not contact the cooler on heavy braking. Very important as wheel contact could cause catastrophic failure. 1 Quote

dupersunc Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 the 750rrk had a second lower mounted head cooler from the factory. 1 Quote
Zweihammer Posted November 11, 2018 Author Posted November 11, 2018 Cool, thanks for all the help! I couldn’t think of a reason, from the point of oil flow and didn’t want to be blind sided finding out there was some check valve I was unaware of that required gravity drain, etc. Cheers, Zweihammer Quote

jonny1bump Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Remember still using original curved cooler for main oil flow to bearings etc. Quote
