Any downside to mounting the oil cooler lower?

Other than being closer to road debris and other hazards, is there any concern from lowering the oil cooler down?

The only things I can think of are,

Check clearance if you go that low that it's in front of the downpipes and maybe airflow being blocked a little by the wheel/brakes etc.

It's getting awfully close to a very hot exhaust

Yoshi used and original cooler in front of the original cooler. Hope you understand my explanation

You need to compress the front suspension to it’s limit to ensure the front wheel does not contact the cooler on heavy braking.

Very important as wheel contact could cause catastrophic failure.

I've got secondary cooler below main been there for years.

the 750rrk had a second lower mounted head cooler from the factory.

Cool, thanks for all the help! I couldn’t think of a reason, from the point of oil flow and didn’t want to be blind sided finding out there was some check valve I was unaware of that required gravity drain, etc.

Remember still using original curved cooler for main oil flow to bearings etc.
