busa ash Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Hi guys weekends here again... sorry got my wires crossed . Has some one fitted the k series 5.5 x 17 wheel into there slingshot rear swingarm Diamond spoke wheel too match my upgraded front end Quote
MeanBean49 Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Can be done mate, i made some captive spacers that also sleeved down to match slingy spindle. Iirc brake side distance from swingarm to wheel centre is exactly the same on K series and slingy. So keep that the same and wheel will be central, just make spacer to suit sprocket side. Biggest issue is the 10mm difference in sprocket offset. I usually machine 5mm off the sprocket carrier, wheel hub and spacer, then run a talon sprocket back to front and a 2mm spacer behind front sprocket. Or if you have clearence and offset front sprocket by 10mm. Quote
MeanBean49 Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Or even easier, use an s-rad front wheel so spokes match rear Quote
busa ash Posted July 15, 2018 Author Posted July 15, 2018 Managed too score a wheel for £50 Bit box for another caliper option Quote

OX88 Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Do any of you guys have a pic or 3 of a machined sprocket carrier? I'm uncertain as to what parts exactly need to be machined (yes, I'm a bit thick). Quote
