Nickel Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 Hi there, anybody heard about a GSXR 1100 GV73C from 1990 with a screwed shock mount? I always was of the opinion that only the 750 oilboiler frames have such shock mounts. Found this frame on german eblag, Type plate and papers says GV73, but never saw such a frame with this kind of shock mount. Does anybody have additional info? Quote
Quist Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 It is a 1100 chassis looking at the lower engine mounts. But when looking to the massive welds I think it is a selfmade thing (the brace with removeble top mount) 1 Quote
Oilyspanner Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 (edited) Think the 1100K had that type of shock mount, pretty sure the 1990 L had it too - the 1100 M and N didn't though. Have just looked at this site - looks like the 1100L did have this set-up - the welds look non factory, not normally that bad, https://www.cmsnl.com/suzuki-gsxr1100-1990-l-usa-e03_model34313/partslist/BLCK0024.html#results Edited January 12, 2018 by Oilyspanner 1990 parts list Quote
Swiss Toni Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 750WP had this top shock mount too! I suppose the 1100 that year was the same? Quote
clivegto Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 I have a 1100L with the same shock mount. Quote
Nickel Posted February 22, 2018 Author Posted February 22, 2018 Forgot about to follow this thread. Sorry about that. Had so many GSXR1100 in my shed over the years, European and foreign models, but never had one with that kind of shock mount. So Thanks for your help and informations Good to have such a forum. Quote
