SlantzGS650
Hi guys, maybe it’s because I’m used to modern bikes but the clutch on my gs650 feels way to heavy & hard to pull. Is there anything can be done to lighten the lever? I’ve a feeling the clutch is slipping under hard acceleration maybe that’s not helping things. Quote Link to comment

johnr
lube or replace the cable, check that the lever pivots freely on the bar mount, then make sure that the lever on the clutch cover is at the right angle for correct operation. Quote Link to comment
SlantzGS650
Ok cheers will try that!! Quote Link to comment
wraith
As said try the cable first, or if the clutch is starting to slip, has the last owner put HD clutch springs in? Quote Link to comment
Fazz711
Clutch cable routing can cause problems also. Quote Link to comment
SlantzGS650
I had a look this morning, the cable seems to come out from the clutch at an angle towards the back of the bike then loops forward up under the tank on the right side. If i worked the cable to come straight out across the back of the engine then up the left side of the bike maybe that would make for an easier pull? johnr
disconnect both ends of the cable and see how freely it slides in and out. Quote Link to comment
