minx Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Is it time yet? I have heard your story before but for some reason never put 2 and 2 together Anna! Best of luck for this year. I look forward to trying to keep up with your progress Quote
Anna Posted January 30, 2018 Author Posted January 30, 2018 Finally might have worked put how to add a you tube clip. This is when I decided to race a SuperStreet rider, for fun, like you do.... 5 Quote
KATANAMANGLER Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Great footage. I embedded the clip for you. Quote
Solcambs Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Now that looked like a great launch all said and done! The superstreet looked was wickedly quick ! The first 100ft - boom and gone! Quote

Sweary Bob Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 All being well new race season starts tomorrow at the Pod. Hope to hit the low numbers early on and dial in the new swingarm. Be hitting the gas later in the season, when Anna's ready. 2 Quote
Sweary Bob Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Cold, snowing and -3 air temp don't make for great times!! Managed to get one run in before they abandoned the meeting, wheel spin in every gear (new cold track). At least we got a free pass for the next event. 3 Quote
Anna Posted March 18, 2018 Author Posted March 18, 2018 Nordic colleagues might think I am being a wuss but I never, ever want to run up a drag strip at below-freezing temperatures again. Quote
Anna Posted March 19, 2018 Author Posted March 19, 2018 Feeling really pleased to be the first woman to set tyre on the new track at Santa Pod. Also VERY proud to be the first Winged Hammer to run up the concrete quarter mile. Go Winged Hammers 13 Quote

Was a bit more in the LH lane after my tyre-spinning effort. ;-) Not sure that -2°C gives a true picture of the track performance. 2 Quote
Sweary Bob Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 2 meetings so far and not much to report. Due to adverse weather and cold track we aren' getting track time to dial in new set up. Hopefully dryer/warmer this weekend so should start hitting the numbers again. 1 Quote
Sweary Bob Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Loads of runs at the Pod today, back down in the low 11s and ready for a 10 and then this happened!! Anna says she felt it as she slowed down and started to turn off the track. Not sure if she ran over something or the tyre gave in. Instant flat and wild ride, so in the van and fit the spare new Shinko on Monday. New spare already ordered!! Quote
Gixer1460 Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Pretty much at the end of its life so on borrowed time - do you run lower pressure? If yes - it does take life out of the carcass, so don't run them too skinny. 1 Quote
Sweary Bob Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Run it at 15psi, photo makes it look more worn than it actually is (probably just over half worn). Quote
Gixer1460 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Ah the joys of drag racing - shit don't last like it used to ! I've had tyres last a meeting or 4 passes before being done - gets spendy! Quote
