Spamwood Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Hi guys Please can anyone advise me where to get a top end (or full engine) gasket set for my GS1000 There are some listed on Eblag but are they any good ? Suzuki Vintage Parts only list separate items and it tots up to a fortune Any help much appreciated Quote
Spamwood Posted October 12, 2017 Author Posted October 12, 2017 Tried him, he referred to Suzuki vintage parts. Quote
wraith Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 If you want good ones get Cosmic gaskets about £15-20 each for the side cover ones, £20 ish for a base and £50 ish for a head gasket, but you always pay for good gear. Quote

Fjbj40 Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 For cylinder base gaskets I will only use the original Suzuki gaskets. I mostly use original Suzuki head gaskets and sometimes Cometic. I use Cometic everywhere else. Quote

Reinhoud Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 (edited) Don't buy cheap sets, you'll regret it! Cometic or OEM (are they still made?). For head gaskets I would go OEM. Dynoman in the US of A usually has good and affordable stuff. Suzuki Performance Spares has a lot, and good service, but he's expensive. Edited October 13, 2017 by Reinhoud Quote

CockneyRick Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 (edited) I had a rocker gasket that was like a thick orange rubber type. They were awfful so be aware. Now got Cometic & it works great Edited October 21, 2017 by CockneyRick Quote
