Gentleart Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 I didn't see any examples, maybe I didn't look well enough so if that's the case sorry in advance. Does anyone have an alternative set up from factory for their gauge clusters? Tach, speedo, etc. Quote
wraith Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 What do you want? Anything can be made to fit if you want. Quote

Gentleart Posted October 4, 2017 Author Posted October 4, 2017 lol not sure what I did there to qoute you with what I was saying Quote
minx Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 It depends how custom you'd like to go. Are you think of a digital dash (like a games controller thingy) or are you looking for something that looks more traditional custom? I run a single Koso dial on my custom which serves as speedo, neutral indicator, oil .. and probably more stuff I don't even know about all in a neat 4"ish digital dial readout. Quote
Reinhoud Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 (edited) I've got 2 48mm gauges on mine. Edited October 13, 2017 by Reinhoud Quote

Or do you not like the look of the factory ones? I toyed woth the idea of keeping the factory binnacle and inserting a gps speedo into left dial space and using an aftermarket rev counter. In the end I went for an all in one speed hut gps unit-'cos I got lazy Quote
wraith Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Something a bit more basic, I have a set of gsx550 clocks on my gs1000g Quote
Gentleart Posted October 31, 2017 Author Posted October 31, 2017 Thanks for the suggestions, sorry for the slow response. I wanted it more modern, to be kind both an old bike with new fittings. However, my dog needs ACL surgery and to recoup the $3,400 I've been ordered to get rid of a project and this is the newest so it's gotta go :(. Thanks again for the suggestions though. Quote

R1guy Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Works great. As far as I can tell , there's no disadvantages to it. Not the cheapest around but works well;- dare I say, the speedo part of my one is a tad small but you get used to where the important bits are (30/40/70) Quote
johnr Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 back in the old days the way to get finky modern looking clocks on your ujm was to fit a set of katana clocks. probabaly part of the reason why there arent many out there now. but they look cood. Quote
Biff Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 I want to fit bandit running gear on my gs1000. Where or how do I connect the electronic rev counter to the gs engine/ wiring. Quote
