KATANAMANGLER Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 1100 slabby engine with some head porting and R336 carbs. Will I get away with running a standard fuel tap or will I need a higher rate of flow? Quote
dupersunc Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 If you're running a 750 tank the standard tap won't keep up with a stock 1127. Get a 3/8" npt bung welded into the tank, so you can screw the Pingel directly into the tank, else you won't have enough room if you use the Pingel adaptor. 3 Quote
gsx Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Mines a tuned slabby motor in me et with flatties , when the motor was in me efe it ran out of juice with standard tap and enthusiastic riding . 1 Quote
KATANAMANGLER Posted April 2, 2017 Author Posted April 2, 2017 Just found out the R6 tap is a straight fit and has no vacuum. Apparently it works well. 2 Quote

KATANAMANGLER Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 Apparently it only fits the slabby 750 tanks(34mm spacing). Fortunately I have an 1100 and a 750 tank. The thundercat fits too. This one. This information comes curtesy of @Mr Cosmo and @Del. Thanks Chaps. Quote
gsx Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 That don't look like it flows more than a standard one ,stop being tight and future proof it with a dual outlet pingle . You know it makes sense 2 Quote

They will foul the oil pipe and if you lift the tank up the frame rail gets in the way of the fuel pipe . this is on a slabby 1100. Edited April 5, 2017 by cregnybaa spelling mistake Quote

You know it makes sense I have an 1100 tank and it has a duel outlet pingel but.... it needs a dent repaired and stripped. I will do it over winter. The 750 tank is dentless and primered so I will use it for the moment. 1 Quote

KATANAMANGLER Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 Ok well the R6 tap on a 750 tank and an 1100 frame and engine does hit the oil feed to the head. So I got on the the phone to Ray Debben and bought a 34mm adaptor plate for the twin outlet Pingel I have on the 1100 tank. 1 Quote
KATANAMANGLER Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 In the end I opted for a pingel adaptor plate with 3/8 NPT elbow and an inline fuel tap. Hoping this will feed the RS36s for the time being until I get the other tank sorted. Quote
