gsxr 1127 barrels on 1052

Hi , i have a 1052 slabby motor that i'm going to put a draw thru turbo on ,iv'e ordered a set of busa pistons & 1127 barrels  , will I have to deck the barrels or would it be better to just use an 1127 motor ?

You need to do the sums for the combo and then adjust what's needed to get to your target C/R

And you need to widden the cases to take the 1127 barrels.

A 1052 with busa pistons wil make it 1186 cc.

If the busa pistons are 81mm then a 1052 motor would be 1201cc with them. 1186 sounds like an 80mm bore on an 1127.

It's 1195cc guys cuz of the short-stroke crank. Needed to shave 1 mm off the top of the block to get decent CR though.

Be warned though, don't just skim away as I found piston height to differ on gen one busa pistons. MEASURE
