Piston identification, J55A6

Hi lads

 

wondering if anyone knows this piston code?  J55A6, From what I can find online, which was very little on a gsxr forum, some people said they are wiseco and some said JE but I can't find the code with any  manafucters online part search, They are 81mm so 1216 but unsure of make?  Whats best way of giving them a little clean up? Cheers for any help

Wiseco  or JE pistons by the look..........Carb Cleaner will get the crap off  ..

I think if I remember correctly that's a JE number

the newer pistons have  JE cast underneath and a laser etched number

just below the wrist pin 

use carb cleaner  and a lolly stick or wooden peg to scrape off carbon
