inazumap Posted January 8 Posted January 8 (edited) Hello, I bought a set of Mikuni RS34 carbs for my GSX1200 Inazuma. Does anyone know exactly which intake rubbers I should use? (Maybe a Link?) My mechanic says there are rubbers with different angles. Thank you in advance. Edited January 9 by Wee Man Quote
JustDirkin Posted January 8 Posted January 8 (edited) Hello my Belgian friend, You could use the original intake rubbers from the MK1 Bandit 1200 or order the ones from Mikuni here (for example). Perhaps best to score some 2nd hand original ones for cheap (or even borrow them from somebody?) to check the spacing before you start spedning your hard earned cash. The spacing between the airbox and carbs is the biggest problem you'll have to face, but it's been done before so it should work out one way or the other if you're determined enough. Pods may be an option to sort out the spacing issue, but you'll have more issues sorting out the jetting so it's up to you really to decide which route to follow. Good luck mate! SiBag Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Mk2 rubbers wont work. Carbs are spaced differently on the Mk2 Quote

JustDirkin Posted January 8 Posted January 8 @SiBagAbsolutely correct, it's supposed to be the MK1. Quote
Dezza Posted January 8 Posted January 8 What's the carb space like on an Iwajima? I ask as OEM is a bonsai, tensy-weensy BST32 so fitting RSs may be a bit of a squeeze. 1 Quote
JustDirkin Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Removing the airbox from an Inazuma requires you to (at least partially) bolt out the engine so as you can imagine there's not a lot of roominess going on in the carb area. Quote
