Brians 7/12 Posted December 12 Posted December 12 I know RS38 are overkill on B12 engines due to lower compression & cams… but what about on a Powerscreen 1127… which I believe is the same as a GSXR1127 internally apart from clutch?… would it be overkill on this as well with full pipe… well… old 80’s V&H Supersport * engine going in a ‘85 750 Frame as it won’t fit in the Powerscreen frame Quote
spiderpig Posted December 13 Posted December 13 (edited) It'll work but more top end than rs36. Flatslides are never gona run great down low anyway. I've a set of RS40s and no motor big enough for them Edited December 13 by spiderpig 1 Quote
wraith Posted December 13 Posted December 13 Like anything tuning wise, it all depends on what you want. Yes they will work, be better with a 1216 kit but they will work, you will lose a lot of bottom to mid power but top end will be good. If you have a opportunity I'd go for more the 36 then the 38 as you may find the 38 are a pain if you're riding in town/traffic 1 Quote
Upshotknothole Posted December 13 Posted December 13 I've got RS38s on a stock GSXR 1127 and they are booooring in town. Great when you can open them up, but not the best carbs when riding around town in traffic, and not much bottom end. Really depends on how you want to ride it. 2 Quote
