Joseph, any pictures or details? That would have been an option some years back but dodgy hips limit how long I can ride for. I'm in Aberdeen and the direct Paris flight was stopped during Covid and never reinstated.

He kindly sent me a pic

I'd bet my left bollock, he sent you more than a pic! When I enquired about the other EFE he had, he must have bombarded me with over 50 photos on WhatsApp. 90% of them were close ups of nothing worth a looking at.O.o

And I still didn't get the bike!

Jaydee, your bollock is safe, only 1 pic of 4k bike but loads of stuff of no relevance, including cars!:)

It is  easy to register imported bike in Ireland, but expensive.original receipt + import duty(made up number)×23% vat,+140 euro (2016) vehicle reg, plus ferry, plus diesel.could end up being half purchase price...and you can not get tax book until you insure it and apply for road tax!!  ....

Yes. As said before (a search is the beauty of a Forum like OSS ;-)):

It's all about having the right paperwork to import a bike into the UK nowadays. Have a bill of sale made up, have a customs agency in UK who can do the mandatory paperwork, and you're good.
